What do you thank God for?

Groan for more.

I just want to share something i read in the Bible yesterday which really struck me.
2 Corinthians 5
V1."For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens."
V2."For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven,"
V3."if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked."
V4."For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life."

Isn't this a great passage? Not only does it assure us that we have a house in heaven which is eternal, but it also shows us that we should desire and groan to be "further clothed" with Salvation so as not to be found wanting in the eyes of our Lord! When i read this passage, it was truly a revelation for me. I mean, even though i knew it, i didn't know it. Know what i'm saying? Haha okay.

Tomorrow is the last day of my attachment at CGH. Finally! Hallelujah! (Sorry mom!) But it really is a burden off my chest. I know, it's not really a problem or anything but it is a relief in the sense that well, i don't have to get up super early in the wee hours of day and drag my feet to transport me to simei. (Yes SIMEI!) (btw, i live in Clementi.) (And i still have one more day of "work" tmr! SOB.)

Well the attachment was pretty fun and educational at the beginning, but after 4 weeks, it got kinda monotonous. Following the same doctor, doing the same thing, listening to patients complain of pain here, and pain there.... a wierd lump here, a wierd lump there... Yeah it gets kinda boring. Even the operations. Of course, at first it was pretty freaky. I mean using scapels to cut people up in the nether areas of their bodies. Pretty disturbing initially i must admit. But then after that, you yawn even at the sights of ruptured thyroids and prolapsed piles. Nevertheless, i thank God for this opportunity to expose myself prematurely to the lifestyle of surgeons in singapore. Now i know what i do not want to become. Haha. Hallelujah.

Dave and Lucas are leaving on saturday. Too soon!! I'm blogging about it now coz i'm pretty sure it'll be the last time i blog before they leave. Dave is going back to Perth and Lucas to HK. Sigh. Why does time pass so quickly? So Dave...... you have a good flight and take care of yourself in Perth yeah? Not only health wise, but every other way too yeah? Stay strong in the Lord, and continue to grow! See ya in december. (Oh and cut your hair, it's getting real long =D) Lucas Mok.... You have a good flight too yeah? Don't ask the flight attendants for too much milk. It's not like they can milk their elbows! Take care of your parents in HK and hey help me say hi to them. Remember that you're in our prayers k? And don't worry about the person in scotland, if it's God's will for you guys to you know *ehem*, you guys will! Oh and say Hi to Carson for me hahahaha. God bless you bro.

So now i have what, 3 weeks left? Unbelievable. Time has gone so quickly. I know i've said that quite a few times, but it really seems that way to me. Honestly, i cannot bear to leave Singapore again. It hurts. It really does. But in a way i want to go back to canada. Not for anything, except that i know that God has a purpose for me being there. Not only for my studies, but also for witnessing to the lost. So Lord, send me back into the field. It's definitely mission possible.
